Shotguns, psychics, turkeys on the run, stolen dinners, erotic art scandals, soused reporters, roaming police investigators and dashed hopes of celebrity, with a side of homemade stuffing. Welcome to a very Riders Thanksgiving.

“Gramp” George S. King, our chief turkey chaser

On this special holiday, I want to share a few favorite memories of Thanksgiving past – and a toast to Thanksgiving present:

Thank you all for your friendship. This year, I’m celebrating my 90th Thanksgiving on earth, surrounded by my wife Dorothy, kids, daughter-in-law, grandchildren and two misbehaving cats Pippa and Lincoln – and I couldn’t be more grateful or appreciative of my family, friends (I mean YOU!) and blog community.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving, please share these stories with your friends, leave comments here or on my Facebook page, and let me know your news and how your holidays are going. And give a gigantic hug to your loved ones – after all, there are only 32 shopping days left until Christmas, so you might as well get on their good side!

Happy Thanksgiving! Love, George “The Rogue” Rider

Fun Thanksgiving stories to share:

Autumn at my favorite place on earth – Lonelyville, Fire Island

Turkey day in freezing weather on Fire Island with a furious psychic. What could go wrong?

Turkeys on the loose! Grandad and uncle grab their shotguns, family silliness ensues, and no one’s garage door is safe. Meanwhile, a hungover neighbor gets the shock of his life.

Thanksgiving dinner at a lovely local inn is rocked by scandal, and the next generation of Riders become instant art aficionados.
