This Thanksgiving family dinner saga, replete with runaway turkeys, rifle shots gone amiss and requisite flowing adult beverages, ripens with age. Many have enjoyed reading it. The story has been printed previously in the SOUTHHAMPTON REVIEW, along with my book, The Rogue’s Road To Retirement and blog.

This year, my cousin Mike Furgueson and family invited us to their home for turkey and trimmings, daughter Jenny will provide transportation tomorrow. Mike and I are the lone survivors of my generation. Family was always the most important. The memories are always sweet.

Happy Thanksgiving!
